MISSION STATEMENT

The mission statement of the Dalhart Police Department is to work in a partnership with the citizens of this community, to enforce laws, protect life and property, to insure the highest quality of life for the citizens we serve while holding ourselves to the highest standard of service to our community.

GOALS
Greater professionalism of all department personnel through training, effective leadership, positive motivation and professional growth potential for all members.

Proper maintenance and acquisition of equipment necessary for effective law enforcement purposes.

A continuing proactive approach to crime prevention

An aggressive attitude of all employees to provide a positive image of the department to the citizens of the community

To work in a cooperative atmosphere with all other criminal justice agencies

For all members to take an active part in post crime actions to ensure the clearance of cases, return of stolen property, and the legal arrest and conviction of offenders.

To provide legal, emotional, and moral support to victims of crime.

To protect the rights of all persons.

To maintain training and proper atmosphere which encourages the SAFETY of all officers in the process of carrying out their duties.

To provide services in accordance with the mission of the Department.
